I purchased a Colt 6700. Its a 20 inch H-Bar. On the sighting knob that usually is set at 8/3 - mine has not 8/3 but has a 6/3. Isn't that the setting for a carbine? If so what does this mean for me?

I used to have a MT6700 and it was marked 6/3 not 8/3. Since the 6700 has a removable handle you can't get the 800 meter ajustment that the fixed handle has. The reason is that the 8/3 sight is too tall and will not fit in the removable handle of the 6700.
