It has a M4 Carbine roll mark instead of the M4LE roll mark. So based on what I’ve seen, M4LE marked lower receivers were in production from at least 2005 through 2011. I hope that helps. |

They looked brand new, but lacked a carry handle and box. lol, I was at Clyde Armory's Athens store yesterday, they had 4 Brand New Law Enforcement Carbines "restricted" marked still in their plastic birth bags. Like you said, no box, no carry handle. I almost bought all 4, but left with just 1 due to no space in my safe even for this one. The birth bag dated 2009. The gun is beautiful, perfect, flawless and looks like a brand new Colt looks, just dripping in preservative oil and never fired. $1349.00. Same price they were selling M4 6920s. I was super stoked to get to add this brand new one to my collection of ponies.

I find it funny that I sold my Law Enforcement 6920 back in 2011-2012 because I hated the “Law Enforcement” on it and the restricted markings. What I really wanted was one of the semi new at that time “M4 Carbine” lowers. I’m still baffled that these old Law Enforcement carbines command the premiums they do today. |

I did the same thing for the same reasons. I sold the 6920, 6721 and 6520 lowers and replaced with M4 Carbine marked lowers. I kept the 6450 cause it is an SBR. Cheers |

Cheers I never cared for the Law Enforcement Carbine markings but don't mind the Restricted marks on the right side of the mag well as a reminder of the ban. I still have a 6520, 6721, and 6700, all ban-era LE rifles with Restricted markings and "evil" features.

I recall ordering a 6920 the week of the AWB sunset and I didn't receive it until December 2004. I completely understand people collecting the various roll-marked models for reference, investment or whatever. I have two bone stock Colt 6920 FDE and ODG ano pieces that i'd have a hard time parting with, although an SR25 M110 would get it done. Cheers |

Picked up a Cerro forge from the EE.Attached File Took it to the range this morning and dialed in the sight. Was ringing steel at 100 yards. Honestly the trigger and safety are the smoothest of all my factory Colts. |

I was at Clyde Armory's Athens store today, 4/18/2022. They still have about 10 of those Police Trade ins with the surefire M500 weapon light, like in the post above, about 50 police trade ins with the yellow Furniture, looks like Troy quad rail, about 15 6940's Monolithics with M4 marked Lowers, some look new. Dozens of other new and used Colt rifles. They have head high stacks on pallets on their showroom floor of new modern Colts. 100's of them. Like walking between huge stacks. They had sold the other 3 'New" Law Enforcement" Carbines that I bought one of. The barrel on mine is dated 03/09. I saw nothing I really wanted as to rifles. Clyde has a lot of Colt inventory thats not on their website or facebook page. |

The selector positions are also stamped SAFE / SEMI instead of the usual SAFE / FIRE. |
