I was told they were new rifles that came in with the other guns that the department had purchased, but never issued. They looked brand new, but lacked a carry handle and box. |

Thanks for the info, I suspected they were related to the used ones. SN#'s were pretty close. |

Must have been some money for PDs in one of this mammoth bills that got passed in the last couple of years. |

Mine arrived at the FFL today. I had tracking the following morning after I ordered. Very happy with Clyde’s. Attached File Attached File I will get it cleaned up and post a few more pictures. Doesn’t seem to be shot much, charging handle has some wear as does the buttons for the flashlight. |

Here's my Clyde's I picked up a few days ago, came as pictured on the site with the crappy sling and Surefire handguard. I added my own sling, skinny handguard and carry handle; I have an IWC scout light mount coming for it as well. Overall great condition, 09' dated barrel, some wear on the bolt face and charging handle but not too many scratches or anything. One thing I noticed was how well the stock fit the buffer, very minimal rattle compared to any other waffle stock I've had. No one could take His life, He laid it down for me,
That twisted wreath of thorns, yea He took that crown for me,
But after three days, out of the ground for me,
He overcame it all, now I live to serve Him

LE6920 parts are no more correct parts than the CR6920. Part sources did not change between the LE6920 and CR6920. Colt used multiple sources for barrels with the LE6920's also. Additionally part specifications were not changed/reduced after the LE6920. |

NOT inaccurate Part of Mil Spec is the labeling of parts for interoperability , the new guns are not tested to mil spec, end of story. |

Labeling of parts has nothing to do with interoperability. It is for identification of manufacturer if there is a systemic operational issue. You took my point completely out of context. My point, was that the parts are made to the same technical specifications minus the markings. They are not marked in some cases because the parts are intended for commercial use only. They are not spending the additional money to mark parts that don't necessarily need it. You see a crossover of military marked parts into the retail assembly line just because those are the parts they decide to use. They stopped milling off selector stops because that saved them three steps in the manufacturing process thus lowering costs. An added bonus for us is that it is something that we wanted them to stop doing for years. |

yep that's one of ours we issued with Eotech, Streamlight , and a magpul 2 point sling , Most are in excellent condition . Sad thing is they are missing the front side sling , when we purchased them they came as a package with the front side sling removed , some distributor has a box full of those things. |

Labeling of parts does have to do with interchangeability, without the C and the F, and the in house firing of proof loads you have no Idea what you are getting , Colt is now Assembling AR15's instead of producing them. Barrels, not Colt Bolt and Carrier likely not colt due to the change in markings , all contracted out parts, not the same rifle at all. |

If that means something to you get an LE 6920 with a colt marked "C' and proofed barrel, Colt C marked upper M4, Colt Stamped C marked Bolt carrier, Colt Bolt MPC white dot and colt marked Extractor with F stamped front sight base. |

The truly humorous part of your post is it assumes Colt has been producing anything themselves over the last 20 years. Colt long ago became an OEM manufacturer. Almost everything with their name on it was actually made by another company to Colt's specs and it has been that way for a very long time. Just look at how small of a footprint their "factory" has compared to Glocks facility in Smyrna Ga. OEM manufacturing is in Colt's DNA and goes back at least as far as the 1911. |
