I gave in and snagged one!! $1649 + $20 shipping. No tax. Local FFL Charges me $25. SO $1694 for everything.
I am weak, couldn't stand the thought of missing out on this batch! I've been wanting a US Property marked Socom for at least 3 years now. Even if another AR15 was the last thing I needed in my collection :) |

I've got plenty of ARs to shoot. With this Colt Gov't Socom I would like to buy a really nice lighted display case for this gun. Have it hanging on the wall so I can look at it every day. Super cool gun that represents America and all the freedoms it fought for and the soldiers who fought and even gave the ultimate sacrifice.

Quoted: So, picked mine up at the store today. Keyhole upper, no cage code, no "F" on the FSB, cage code on barrel, faint C on the bolt carrier. Other than the extended flash hider and no AUTO marking or auto sear pin, you would have a hard time distinguishing this from an issued M4. On the fence if Im going to build this into a URG clone, might leave the upper alone and build another upper. Obligatory pic, came with a Colt marked grey mag with green follower, not the EPM shown... https://i.imgur.com/GVuRluD.jpg?1 View Quote How is the stock marked? |

Are these things in stock anywhere?
Bid on one on GB and was going to buy now at over 1700 but I never got the notice I was outbid. Never used GB but the same seller had a good rating and some 20" A2 marked colts. I was going to bite the bullet on both if I landed the socom. I have a rare black m45a1 custom shop I got a few offers on but want to land one of these before I part ways. |

I would buy one if available locally and i could inspect first. Still kicking myself for not purchasing the one I saw at Triggers in Florence.... bought a 1911 instead dammit!

I've been watching GB and all the sites, it appears that the SOCOM batch that was released recently may be drying up! I'm sure they are limited with how many they can make with having to get KAC rails, among other considerations. I hope I'm wrong but at least I have mine from this batch no matter what
