It's a good buy in my book. The upper sets on the net though are not cheap.

I looked again this morning and it looks as though they are in stock again.

When brownells ships do they provide tracking? My FFL asked me to email him just before it arrives so he knows its mine and some places (aim surplus) won't provide tracking on firearms.

Sold out again. I paid $199. That is a great price for any full lower. Don't really care about the logo problems or non LE prefix.

This was posted in GD and I thought I would post it here for those who don’t venture into Mos Eisley. Brownells has Colt complete lowers on sale for $249. Link. Code H7L for $20 off 200. Per the one review, they appear to be 6920 lowers. View Quote |

My lower also came in and is LE marked. Roll marks look good too. Looks like this recent batch Brownell's has are LE's . Buy them up guys lol. https://i.imgur.com/ht0Y0HD.jpg View Quote |

My buddy picked his up today. It was a CR prefix serial number. When I pick mine up later this week I’ll post back what it was.

Picked mine up today, rollmark missing L and CR prefix, still a great deal! If it happens again I will roll the dice again.

Picked up my 2 today:
CR prefix 4 position stock on H buffer weak spot in roll mark between the O and L My first Colt lowers, so I don't know how to tell between the 1 piece and 2 piece magazine catch. Google isn't helping lol I'm very happy for $179 each, nice lowers. |

Notice the difference between the two? The traditional Colt, 2 piece mag release is pictured up top. The lower picture is an expanse lower, with the different mag release. View Quote Mine match the top image, the traditional Colt 2 piece. Thanks again! |

Picked up mine today. CR prefix. Light stamping between O and L. Asked my FFL and he said out of the 5 he received in only 1 was a LE prefix.

Just got shipping info for mine. It went into "order on hold" status, just called and it got pushed through. Had to do with FFL verification for a Brownells preferred dealer. Got mine for $235 OTD with code "MDK". I think that's 20% off and free shipping. View Quote Anyway, For $199 - $20 coupon - 4% AJ this is a bargain. Like most others, light strike in the L, H buffer, Hartford markings, 4 position tube, standard trigger group and mag release, CR serial, staking was great and receiver tube lined up strait. Overall can't beat this deal imo. |
|
Kind of seems like someone at Colt made a deal with Brownell's to flood the market with cheap lowers to drive up the demand for upper parts. Colt uppers, barrels, etc have skyrocketed. Conspiracy?

There is a member in the other thread talking about these lowers that didn't get a rollmark on his lower. No COLT, no Pony, Just M4 CARBINE and a CR#!. I actually want it, pretty bad lol!

Picked up my lower from Brownels last week and at the same time picked up a new 6920. Here is a picture of both for comparison.

Looks like you can't order these anymore. I guess they finally dried up. I have heard that Colt discontinued selling the lowers.

The source was on her somewhere. He said that colt sent the last of the lower spares to Brownells. Brownells is now sold out with no back order. Before you were able to back order.

I picked up my $200 sales today.... CR prefix serial, 4 pos buffer tube and shock (shouldn't it be 6 pos?) hard to operate, H buffer, pistol grip, and all lower parts with Colt 2-piece mag release ? (small bump on outside?). Poor L roll mark. The dealer showed me the difference inside an LE and a CR receiver series.
Do you think CRxxx are valued less than LExxxx receivers? |

As a general rule - no, IMO. Unless someone is looking for a specific lower markings for a clone type build. CR= Civilian Rifle maybe? LE of course is Law Enforcement - although I never understood why so many wanted an LE marked lower anyway. And Colt receiver tube is typically 4 position. Although I also noticed the stock was harder to manipulate as well...wonder why. What did your dealer point out as the difference inside the two lowers? View Quote Internals should be identical. Only differences that I have seen on 6920s is the hammer profile and one piece mag release (Colt Expanse) showing up in some 6920s. |

Any sources? If so, really glad I got mine, even if it was after their big sale, and with an LE prefix serial number to boot! View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

So what is out there is it until they change their minds again." |

78Staff:
The LE lower inside and behind the trigger is all opened to the end of the receiver, whereas the CR has a cross wall preventing the use of a lightning link or other. |
