| I had to return a new Colt Defender 1911 about 4 years ago. I bought it from a dealer in Florida via the interweb. When I removed it from the plastic case a burr on the top of the barrel hood was readily visible. It was large enough to catch with my fingernail, but somehow made it past Colts quality control department. An immediate call to Colt's customer service resulted in a shipping label. I had the pistol back in two weeks complete with a new barrel. To this day, that Defender has never malfunctioned, and is uncannily accurate for a three inch sub compact. |
