What are the markings and serial number? You can block out the last couple of digits. |
Got your PM; thanks. Is it a AR-15A3 Tactical Carbine, and does it have the LE/Export markings on the right side of the magazine well? I think the L prefix (for LEO) to the serial number indicates post ban. Pre ban A3s start with BDxxxxxx, and per this thread from the archives there were only 134 of them. Another way to check, if you have the original upper, is to pop off the hand guards and look for a date stamped into the barrel near the front site base. On my post ban LE6700, the date (10/97) under the gas tube. |
