Any word on these? I remember from a SHOT Show video that Colt was going to be producing like a dozen new models, among them a M15A4 clone. I imagine after New Town that Colt's main focus was to crank out as many 6920's as they could. But nearly a year later, no A4 clone production? I did see a couple of the Colt Competition Rifles a couple gun shows ago, so I know that they're at least making other models besides the 6920, 6720, 6940, etc.

I skimmed over a new article on them in a Shooting Times: Tactical Operator magazine at Hastings this weekend. I didn't see when they'd be coming out; but, I saw pictures of the rifle with an AR15A4 rollmark on the lower.

MSRP is stated to be $1,270. Will include the rifle with standard polymer rifle handgaurds and a carry handle.

I read that article also. Looks nice, interested to see when they are coming out.

Check out my first video link (if you haven't already) of the recent NASGW wholesales convention at TX last week.

Colt shown a 2014 AR-15A4 which was the first rifle on the video, also ambi controlled lower receivers for the 6940 and 6920 carbine series and some bolt action rifles.

If they are going to miss the release of the AR-15A4 rifle late this year they're going to miss their 50th anniversary with their first sale to the US Air Force, but next year would be the 50th anniversary of the first civilian AR-15 Sporter SP1 model R6000.

Maybe a little competition from FN will speed them up. I saw way more FN M-16's at Fort Lewis Washington than Colts. If you want a copy of "what you carried" you now have an alternative. Not a fan of the white logo on the right side though. I'm hoping that's just a gimmick for the site.

Almost every M16A4 for the Army was made by FNH.  Colt had the contract for the M4, but FN had a lot of the M16 contracts since even the A2.

The Colt A4's in our armory all had Colt uppers, just like our M4's.

Except these FN civilian AR's can't be produced using Colt's TDP.
