[ARCHIVED THREAD] - 6944 availability

Does anyone have the 14.5 inch upper version of the 6940 in stock. I see a few places have the complete rifle in stock and specialized armament had the upper (at their usual premium price) but now is out.

Sorry I wasnt clear - I am looking for the upper only. Although thats a great price, Ishould call a local SOT.

You could always buy the gun and sell the lower. You could leave it as a SBR lower, or remove it from the registry and sell it as a regular title I. That's the cheapest way to go as well.

I couldn't find one either....

maybe another option:

I bought a NIB complete 6940 upper off GB for $850 last yr, then sent it to ADCO and they cut it down to 14.5"....

Colt is not currently manufacturing any "Conversion Kits" (upper receiver groups). It seems this may be the case for some time.
