i have older style mt6400r with two pins on brake,what i would like to know if the barrel is threaded under brake.

NO it's not but you could have it threaded because it believe the pins aren't cut to deep  hopefully.

I had one a while back and sold the upper to a ban state NJ . the muzzle break  worked really well .

I"m going to hijack this thread.... are you paying for the Colt name with this particular rifle.



I saw one in a shop today for $1,500. Seems kind of high... I've seen plenty of other ARs for considerably cheaper. Just wondering if there is a major difference in quality or something that would fetch this price.

Adco did an excellent job threading mine, and pinning on a new brake.

i sent it to wilson combat . installed a spike brake, looks a lot better and brake works great, total cost was 77.00 included shiping they had it for one week. nice job

I'd say it's more like your average gunshop that is completely detached from reality when it comes to reasonable pricing.  It's why I stopped going to gunshows and frequenting most shops.

That is why I quit all gunshows and all gun shops over five years ago.

With a little searching around on various gun boards that gun can be found for a little over $1000.

I just picked up another one of these for $1200 on GB.

I paid $1500 for my first one a couple of years ago.
Going to send it to Adco to have them pin/weld a brake on it.
