Congrats man, nice matching Cerro forge marked upper and lower.
Most of the current SP for sale that I have seen now includes two 20rd mags, that's a better deal. Did yours have any caliber markings on the lower or not? Mine didn't have any. None. Besides the Cerro Forge mark on the lower,it is exactly like yours. I'm excited, while I have owned quite a few AR's this is my first Colt. Always have wanted my own ever since I started shooting my dads SP1 in 83. I actually sold my defender 2000 to fund this. Going to go shoot it today. |

That's good that they still didn't add the caliber markings yet, with mine I'll probably use a different caliber upper later on. You won't get disappointed with your first pony, mine is my 10th so far since my very first AR SP1 in '71, all my Colts exceeded my expectations and I'm very satisfied with all of them. I also have a LMT carbine nothing wrong with it but I still prefer my Colts, I guess I'm very used to the brand. A couple of weeks ago I shot my SP6920 and zeroed it at 50 yd also verified it at 100 yd, everything went smooth without any problems just I was expecting it to be. I didn't go for any groupings because I just wanted to function check it and zero it, it was too bad I only brought along a box of Federal 55gr 100 rounds value pack from my local Walmart, I wanted to shoot more but was out of ammo. When you go out take a lot of ammo with you and enjoy. |

I was shooting up in the mountains with my son. We proceeded to blast through the rest of the 9 loaded P-mags I brought along, along with 100 rounds of 45 ACP in a Colt Combat Elite. I hadn't had more fun in a long time. Maybe it was being back up in the mountains, or maybe it was the first really warm sunny day. That Colt sure made me smile. I don't know something about that pony....... |
