Hello All,
I know someone selling a pre-ban Colt Competition HBAR rifle. It is completely original, in like new condition, and has maybe 200 rounds through it. It has the bird cage style flash suppressor and removable carry handle. About how much is it worth? Thanks in advance.

No help now but CDNN had a NIB model 6700 with 10 mags for $799 plus shipping.

I do have some pics, but they're not that great. Everything appears original and the serial # is definitely preban: CH002xxx

Got it yesterday. It's in very nice condition and has seen very little use, maybe 100-200 rounds through it. I got it from the original owner who purchased it nearly 20 years ago. Everything is original 100% Colt, it even has that rather annoying "COLT" stamped sear block. The barrel is marked C MP 5.56 1/9 HBAR. I conducted a little research and there seems to be some disagreement as to whether these rifles have a chrome lined barrel or not. Any insights? How can one tell definitively?

Okay, another question for the Colt experts. My 6700 has a flat top upper, but the front sight post is not marked with an "F". What gives?

I'm not particularly worried about it, just curious is all.

if I'm not mistaken Ekie wrote in the Retro Forum that the F-FSB is needed on carbines only doesnt matter if they're flat top or not
