| For now just going to dress her up in MAGPUL FDE, add an Aimpoint when I can. Future plans may include shortening the barrel and adding a rail. Almost hate to touch her, looks good right out of the box. Don't know how this guy had this for so long without shooting it. |

Here she is in some Magpul flat dark earth furniture: (Guess I need a Bass mirror too, since she is Black and Tan!) http://i44.tinypic.com/2elb05u.jpg http://i43.tinypic.com/5me7tw.jpg http://i44.tinypic.com/8yidtc.jpg http://i42.tinypic.com/21kcg1u.jpg Well that was a quick change. You must have BRD! |

Besides the VFG I like it!!!! I just put a Troy drop in Rail on my 6920 and it is awesome, 100% rock solid. I want to get them for all my AR's now. I also added a Eotech 512 to the 6920, this is a great optic. Good Luck I had a Troy installed on my 6920 as well. I'm very pleased with it. I'm not sure which optic to run on it, I'm leaning towards the EOtech but I like the ACOG's also. I just can't decide right now. |

......SNIP..... Almost hate to touch her, looks good right out of the box. Don't know how this guy had this for so long without shooting it. I hate modifying my Colts, too - they do look good right out of the box! The last owner had it for so long and not shooting it.....maybe he felt guilty getting it dirty, but it's a HORSE not a queen, for fudge sake! A good looking horse (for the most parts - I've had some pretty ugly ponies, but loved them anyway), but it is still a horse nonetheless! Get it to work! |

Looks good to me. I really don't understand guys like the guy you bought it from, didn't even use it at all, well maybe he's just a collector. To me Colts are not a Ming vase, except for my A2 all Colt clone that I will keep that way, the rest of my other Colts I modify them to my personal taste and run them. When I got my latest new Colt carbine (another carbine model - see the Colt pic thread) a couple of months ago, the first chance that I had was two weeks after I got it and I took it out without any mods at all just to find out how it shoots, and it shot real good just like my other former and current Colts. On your next post we expect some brass marks on your deflector. |

One range session, and she performed beautifully...in fact first two three shot groups were all in the black at 50 yds iron (well one plastic) sights before sighting in. Can't show any dings on brass deflector, because there are none yet I guess the guy I bought it from needed quick cash, so good deal for me. Maybe he had others, not sure. I would definitely not mind another Colt, they are top notch, and it was somewhat painful when I sold my HBAR. |
