Just out of curiosity...what kind of accuracy is to be expected out of a MT series rifle? In particular I'm looking at the MT6700 as a candidate for an A4gery project I'm considering. I've already got an all-Colt A2 project up and going but I'm considering picking up an MT6700 and having the barrel turned to gov't profile(along with threading the barrel for an A2 FH). Then, just install a KAC M5 RAS and it's off to the rodeo.

As a 1/9 twist barrel it won't be a dead-on A4gery but certainly close enough for me. Also, since the MT is a match rifle I'd have to guess an unlined barrel...correct?

I'm planning on topping the rifle off with an ACOG (probably of the TA31H or TA01 variety) and using it as a medium range accuracy rifle for 'yotes and varmints.

What do you guys think?

the MT barrels are chrome lined

my experience with having many of them is 1 inch at 100yrd or less with good ammo

That's about on par with what I pattern using my two Noveske 14.5" CL rifles(my 10.5" will shoot this well, too)...one wears a TA31RCO-M4 and the other an ML3. I'd be very happy with an M4gery that can hold it's own against my Noveskes (at least the CL ones).

Thanks for the input!!

I used to have a MT6700 and it was very accurate with 55gr FMJ ammo.
