Hell cam back from an extended vacation overseas and on my return to a local gun store, i was shocked to see Colt 6920 prices have really decresed in price over just two months.  1130.00 dollars seemed like one hell of a value when the rest of the market is real close in price.  Colt must be catching up with back orders or the fear of loosing the M4 DOD contracts are influencing better prices in the retail market. After seeing an SCAR up close, Colt has a true bargin with the advanced 6940 carbine, colt keeps the prices steady and competitive FN will some more head aches  trying to dump that tupperware gun for 3k.   V 2

I never thought we would see the prices we are now.
I can remember buying a green label government carbine just before Y2K for $2400

I am like a kid in a candy store.

I wouldnt knock that FN SCAR until you've fired one.   I was sold first time I fired one.  It is a real sweet shooting gun.  The Army's SF/Ranger community is doing a lot of good work for god and country with their SCAR's

I really do not give one rat ass which unit is using the SCAR, The bottom line here is its an over priced piece of plastic for the domestic market. I dont see any real fantastic design updates in the design, a lot of copy cat features from other assault rifles and you want the public to pay 3 grand for it. I looked at one two days ago and its nothing special, yes light weight and modular in concepts, the tan moldings and gold receiver need a different tone, NATO Green or Black updates required. That Gold receiver looks to pimpy.

I just stay with the  FS 2000 Standard with 1.5 optic. now thats real cool weapon, and i think Norway and Austria use it, Ahhhh...who cares, !!

so...   the SCAR is no good, but you like the FS2000?    now thats funny.

I dont like the scar either. but none of what you said proves it to be a bad gun in any way.

what you said is pretty close to what people said about the AR15 when it 1st came out.   But I truly dont see  what the scar does differently to make the cost and reason for it to exist
