I like mine ............ YMMV ...............

It's not the AR/22 to end all, but a lot of fun - in semi-auto just as much as my M16/22 .....

Mags are big - selector is funny in that safe is normal, but fire is where auto is on an M16 - barrel is sleaved .....

Cool in that since the barrel is recessed as in most dedicated 22LR uppers (which this is not - it is a dedicated gun), the barrel looks like it is 14.5" instead of the actual 16".

Feels good, mine runs flawlessly after a good cleaning and break-in.

Has adjustable bolt-speed for different ammo - high-velocity/sub-sonic/.....

Bolt hold-open works like an MA1/M14 - you pull the charging handle back to release it.

Normal bolt-hold open is fake.

Forward-assist is fake.

Sear/hammer/trigger pins are fake and are just etched into the receiver.

Lots of pot-metal in the inside.

But lots of fun and looks cool.

Probably offends alot of Colt affectionatos (sp).

Not me ............... and I love my Colts.

I've settled on Winchester DynaPoints since that's what my Kuehl-based M16/22 likes and it stays sub-sonic even though it touted to be HV.

Heres' my M16/22 followed by the new Colt dedicated 22 with my Gemtech M4-96D on it (Gemtech makes thread adapters - gun is made by Walther and has the same threading as the P22 - imported by UMAREX) ...

This.

1) It's not really a Colt IMHO
2) It's a gay round

IMHO Colt's are fighting guns. Would you want to take a .22LR to a gun fight? I wouldn't. With that being said, I'm not against dedicated .22LR uppers for a normal AR15 platfrom, but these guns are pure .22LR, AR15 copycats.

They may be your cup of tea, but not mine. If you do get it I hope you enjoy it!

I was not impressed at all with the couple I've seen. I've even seen a couple reports of the lowers cracking already. A dedicated upper is much higher quality.

I shot one for the last couple days, and it's pretty nice for what it is.

Just think of it as a GSG5 type alternative in an AR15 pattern.  It's not a replacement for a dedicated .22LR upper on a std lower, which of course would be almost twice the cost.

My feeling toward them exactly. I think the new S&W may turn out to be a better option than the "Colt" but we'll have to see. Regardless, they are all just

airsoft type copies of various platforms (MP5, AR15, AK, etc) but decent for their intended purpose as long as people are not expecting more.

I handled the S&W MP-22 on Saturday and it's not much different.
