I have  a Rock RIver National Match Trigger kit that I am going to put a lower together.   My question is - Should i put the match trigger in my Colt  Sporter Target Model with 1/7 barrel (Bone Stock and Pre-ban) or leave it alone.    Or should I install it in a Rock River Lower I have?

its a moot point becasue that trigger wont  fit in the colt

If It fits the Colt it wont fit the RRA .
RRA did build large pin trigger sets though

I would never take trusted Colt factory internal parts and replace them with parts from a manufacturer that is known to have problems sourcing their parts from whomever, nor would I replace a trusted single stage trigger system that will not fail for one with a high rate of failure unless it is a play or target only gun. Even then I don't think I would.

Any RRA part dropped into a Colt would not be considered an "upgrade."  I think that should answer your question.

This.

If you MUST change out the trigger, look at KAC or Geissele. I run 100% Colt FCG parts at this point. I used to have have the KAC and even the rare TAC trigger in my Colt M16A1, however I am back to simple Colt FCG parts. You can't beat 'em.

ETA: You can't put a KAC trigger in the lower anyway, so nevermind that part.

Put 500-1000 rounds through the Colt and your trigger will smooth out.  There are maybe two match triggers that might be worthwhile, but you need to first answer the question, why do you need a match trigger in your Colt?

i have 11 AR's.  I have two pre ban Colts that i have not even fired.  No time.  Only have wolf ammo anyway.  I bought NM trigger kit for a Stripped lower that I have and I was just wondering if it would improve the value of my Colts.    I forgot about pin size so it was a moot point anyway.  I am going to keep the colts stock

I want to know who voted for the NM trigger.  It better not be anyone who resides in this part of the forum

A nice quick fix to improve the factory Colt trigger is to use the aviation grease that Bill Geissele uses and recommends for his triggers.
Its called Mobil 28 grease.  I work a generous amount on the hammer sear notch and it improves the smoothness of the trigger a lot.

6724 trigger. Nickel plated and smooth.
