I'm posting this here hoping to more advice than on the AR Discussion area.
A local pawn shop has an older Colt Government Model (Sport Target Model?) AR-15A2 with govn't profile, 1/7 barrel, SN is ST0088xx, excellent shape, just what I'm looking for.....for the low low price of only $2100!
I know the price is way out of line, thats a no-brainer. This is one of the early '90s ones with the flash hider but no bayonet lug and it also has the sear block (?) in the lower receiver and the screw type front receiver pins. I have to find out if they have the box.
What model is this and what would be a right price for it in excellent condition? This place does this, price-wise, with all Colt firearms. They never move and then they finally start lower the price to something decent. I know the owner and really want this rifle, if the price is lowered right, so will see what to he can do. I just need to know how far to go. BTW, when I asked what they would do on the price the first offer was $1500.
Any help would be appreciated.

According to this link http://sr25.com/ar15/variants/ the 6601 is a HB, this rifle is not a HB.

Yes...6551, value what the man said, 1K to 1.2K.  I have one and wouldn't sell it for that, also wouldn't give anything near 2K for another.
