Just thought it might be a good idea to post this link here, since this is a "Colt Topic" Colt SMG, Commando, and Carbine Variations Guide This is an attempt to create a "Technical and Historical Guide" for the "Colt Carbines". I looked up the NSN numbers on the FEDLOG. Here are the results. The ones that say Historical NSN means the NSN is still active but there may not be any in stock. I brought and issue earlier about 11 vs 13 digit NSN. It appears all they did was add the "00" to the old NSN to get the new NSN number. None of the info on FEDLOG gives any indication of what model number these weapons are. I left out the info for the GAU-5/A as I typed in the wrong NSN and got bad data but it is a valid and active NSN. Chek out the price for a XM177E1 ($154). Here is a photo of my Preliminary Operation and Maintenance Manual for the XM177E2. Here is the 11 digit Federal Stock Number. The National Stock Number has a 00 after the first 3 digits.  Here is a crappy picture of the exploded parts diagram.  Hope this helps the discussion some way. |
