Hey Fellow Kool Aid Drinkers,

A friend of mine dropped these off with me today and was wondering if I was interested in buying them. He bought a surplus duece and a half and these were behind the drivers seat

I thought they would be a cool adition to the collection, but I have no clue as to what to offer him for them

So what do you think they are worth???

No clue as to worth but I've got to say, you come across more shit than anyone could shake a stick at.

Pretty cool SIR

Get him a case of dogfishhead IPA 120, that should cover it, if not after the 3rd one I dont think he will rember much.

I've seen them at gun shows selling for $125.00. Nice to have from a collectors standpoint.
But worthless for anything else. "I'd hate to be holding one when fired upon."

Cool. Now you and a buddy can beat the piss out of each other buttstroking and practicing bayonet drills.

An unusual find.

Forgive my ignorance, but is that a "fun switch" on that rifle?

Since its a Colt, its probably a sear block

Seriously, since its supposed to be a M16 clone you would figure it would have a sear pin especially since its switched to the "AUTO" position.

I remember those from 1982. I wish I could get one cheap. A buddy had one and he didn't know what they were. It sits around his house collecting dust. It's be a great wall hanger.

I hated bayonet drills with them.

Behind the seat of a 2.5K? Maybe it was a guard unit and they couldn't afford the real rifles... Or maybe it was a "trust" issue with real firearms...

I guess the value would be what it would be worth to your buddy and you.

Uh, JUST IN CASE someone doesn't know what those are,  they're rubber rifles.   Replicas for training
and drill only.   They won't go BANG unless you drill holes in them and fill them with Tannerite and
then shoot at them from a safe distance.

They're cool.   A nice addition to your authentic military issue armory surplus M16 rack.

173rd ABN Brigade guys here in Vicenza use these rubber rifles during their parades.

Are these the same thing?

Resin M16A1 rifle

Right off hand I would say no, since the pic from the Sportsmans Guide has a 30rd magazine and a bird cage flash hider.  But there could be various styles available.

Could be a variant of the ASP Red Gun or the Blueguns.com resin replicas.

I thought they would make a good addition, but he wants $200.00 each for them

For that kind of  money I passed on them

we played around with those rubber duckies a few times........

have no idea what they'd be worth or why anyone outside of the military would want one though

I have a AKS-74 rubber duck, would like a M16A1 to go with it, but your right $200 is a bit much.
