Anybody have a good recommendation for a Colt for CMP Service Rifle competition?  Also, are the parts proofed like the military, or are the commercial rifles the same as everyone else's?  TIA

slap a DCM FF on it then shoot it until the throat goes. By then you'll be a good enough shot to rebarrel with a top dollar tube and find a good match trigger.

I almost feel like I'm doing something wrong, but I'm seriously considering trading my 6920 for a A2 type Colt.  I like the idea of the carbine, but I just can't shoot them anywhere close to what I can with a 20".  Guns that don't get shot don't stick around here very long.  By the way, what's that thing on the end of the 6601?  A compensator on an AR?

The MT6601C has a compensator on it the MT6601 doesn't.

That comp is a no go for CMP use.

If you want a rifle for any other form of  comp use get a flat top with  a DCH. there ok to use every place else.
