I just bought a Colt RO901 upper from a respected ClassIII dealer. I was wondering if any of you know, does Colt number there flat tops (ala LMT)? I took off the carry handle and there were no numbers.

My "older" 6721 upper does not have them.

nov this year 6721 rifle has them, and "M4" stamped in the front of the upper.

I have a couple of new (2004 mfr) Colts, and they both have T-marks.
They appear to be engraved and painted, as opposed to simply painted.
