| I tried this post in the other forum with little intertest so I will ask the Colt guys. I am interested in a collectable Colt and am wondering if the 6920HB should be the one? Do you think this model will go up in price down the road or would be of any interst to most Colt collectors? Any help would be great! |

I took a chance on it being collectable, yes they can always make more but this is the first 1 of 300 special runs. I dont se them making more in the near future, I have #110 of 300 I also took a chance on the 6320, police patrol carbine, another 1 of 300 run rifles, came before the 6920HB's, should be here today Hey if I'm gonna have a safe full of AR's that I will never shoot most of, why not get the rare ones |

You know you never know with Colt and its production history on what models will become collectible. I would say that all pre 1989 green label guns made will loose some value over the long term due to the increase of No ban firearms being produced by other companies. Original factory Colt guns will maintain solid values and will maintain collectible status with the original AR15, AR15A2, and A3 die roll markings. The LE marked Blue label guns released to us civilians will continue with this preban trend to hold steady collectible status due to the Restricted Goverment & AR15 die roll markings present. Even if Colt re issues a 2nd run of 6920HB or changes the MT civie nuetared M4 carbines with all the goodies your gun will retain higher values to being an original first run. I picked up two LE6520's and always looking to score the 6721 or 6920 in the future will be money well spent in the bank or gun safe. Good to go.... |

The Colt LE 6920HB may go up in price, or it may not. I know that sounds ridiculous, and it is, but the reality ,of this is that the HB was a special run, that if it had been a 'good configuration' they would have made 3,000 of them, or even 30,000 of them. The fact is, that it is a put-together based on specs provided by a major distributor, and I do not think that qualifies as a rare gun, but rather a rare configuration. (one that you could do yourself) after all that gibberish- I feel many would offer 2x the going rate for one a year from now, provided they don't bust out another 1,000 of them between now and then. Hell, a stock LE6920 is pretty much a collector right now. |
| I think they have peaked in price at $2500. I see SAW still has 3 of them at that price. Assuming more Colt LE rifles become avilable in the future, I foresee the 6920HB prices falling from that point. A lot. There is really nothing special about them, just internet hype. |
