my father traded a stainless mini-14 for a sp-1 in the early 80's.the lower says model sp-1 serial 202xxx.it has a stange finish which ive heard people on this forum refer to as coltguard. the previous owner didn't like the color, it has a gold/green type tint. does anyone know how many of these were made and what the this gun is worth, it is in near mint condition thanks pat |

There was one on Auction Arms a few months back. I believe the bid reached around $1800, but didn’t meet the seller’s reserve. It was put up again, but I didn’t follow the auction.
