my father traded a stainless mini-14 for a
sp-1 in the early 80's.the lower says model sp-1
serial 202xxx.it has a stange finish which ive heard people on this forum refer to as coltguard. the previous owner didn't like the color, it has a gold/green type tint. does anyone know how many of these were made and what the this gun is worth, it is in near mint condition
thanks

There was one on Auction Arms a few months back. I believe the bid reached around $1800, but didn’t meet the seller’s reserve. It was
put up again, but I didn’t follow the auction. The guns were sliver when new, the finish is electroless nickel. Photo’s here:

thats it!!!
my fathers main concern is that if it worth
that much he doesn't want to be using it as
a weekend shooter, at the range etc. he would rather sell it and buy a cheaper post ban.
thanks for the info
