You make an excellent point. For me, when I had the cash for a .308, it was between an Armalite AR10 and a DSA FAL. I chose the AR10 because I was already familiar with the AR configuration. Magazines were more expensive, yes, but I just have a preference for the AR design. Numerous parts for the AR10 are interchangeable with the AR15 and the feel of an AR10 is incredible, although I've never had any experience with an FAL. For me it's all about being familiar and comfortable with your weapon. Besides, I'd like to see what Bushmaster's model/s would look like and at what cost. It would just be interesting to see Bushmaster compete with Armalite and ASA in the .308 market. Perhaps DPMS will get into the ball game as well!
