My original dilemma that got me on AR15.com was putting a post-ban V-MATCH 24 upper onto a pre-ban Dissipator lower with the collapsible telestock.
I was really excited about it until a few guys here cautioned me that it might cause parts damage mixing the long gas tube with the short buffer/spring in the telestock...
I immediately checked with Bushmaster on this and they confirmed.
I bought the "TeleStyle" buttstock as a temporary fix to my problem until I got another lower. (both guns are in their respective pre or post ban configuration now)
The "TeleStyle" stock works with both uppers just fine, like the catalog says.
I am currently on The Firing Line (BusGunner007) on a thread where there is a bit of confusion as to what works with what.
I don't want to come off as an asshole or something, so, I'm checking here to verify the correct combination of parts and why that is.
I told 'em over at TFL I'd be back with an answer and whatever the boys at Bushmaster said was 'what it is'.
So, what is it?
If the picture works: the upper monstrosity actually works; the lower is what I wanted to do, but, didn't.
