Did I miss something or did this come out of nowhere?
Can we get some details about them? |
| Vortex has teamed up with Cabela's to offer a series of optics called the Intrepid. There is a Binocular, a Riflescope, and a Spotter to start things off. Here's a link to what Cabela's just added to their website. http://www.cabelas.com/browse.cmd?categoryId=1211157180 -RJ |

Cabela's branding and a $799 price for any of the three. Good chance these won't sell well and they'll clearance them out in a year at half price. Seriously doubt that. If it had the Cabelas name only then maybe you have a point but it clearly says Vortex on it. I assume it gets the same warranty coverage as everything else Vortex sells. Comparing the specs with Vortex's other scopes it looks like a cross of the Viper HS-T and a Razor LH. Vortex, am I reading this correctly? Less features than the Viper PST line but with better glass? How does the glass compare to the other razor lines and the Golden Eagle? I'm honestly intrigued by this one. |
| Hey all - the new Intrepid series is looking to be a winner. With features like exposed turrets, a 30mm tube, a wide 4.5-22 magnification range, and our VMR-1 reticle, the Intrepid riflescope is exactly what Cabela's custoemers were asking for in a lightweight, feature packed hunting scope. There are aspects that resemble the Viper or Razor line, but we didn't just re-label a Viper or Razor and called it good enough. Our partnership with Cabela's on this one was done as an answer to what their outfitters and the Cabela's product team were asking for. We are excited for you all to head over to your local Cabela's retail location and check them out. RJ |
