| Tried mounting the SPARC to my gun using just the high riser, the problem is the screws (short one) bottom out before the SPARC gets tight to the riser, I added the shim and the short screws were to short. The high riser and shim is to high, I am thinking maybe the high riser was counter sunk to deep for the screws or maybe I am screwing up something? I was going to cut down the short screws, even though I shouldn't have to. Any ideas? Thanks. |

Definitely sorry to hear that the screws weren't matching up the way they should be... That's a little disappointing, no doubt about it. I would advise you to give our customer care center a call and they would be happy to get you taken care of. 800-426-0048 ext. 4 Thanks again and please let me know if you have any other questions. |

Just got off the phone with Lynette, great lady to talk to, I guess they just needed some (alot of) extra torque, all set now, I was just concerned about stripping out the holes. Thanks for the help, Lynette was awsome. |

Quoted: I just purchased a SPARC. I have the same problem with the high riser. It will not tighten up, the short screws bottom out. It works well with the shim and longer screws. Is the answer tightening the screws more? No I wouldn't try to tighten them more. Sometimes I think that when the holes are tapped some chips get left in the hole. Our repair techs have been able to fix it by gently running a drill bit slightly smaller than the tapped hole up into it. Just make sure you don't drill through into the scope if you try it. Otherwise we'd be happy to take care of it for you if you call customer care at 1-800-426-0048. |
