I got a question about the mount system that this red dot uses.  I see it comes from the factory with a mount and was wondering if it is this one or if it comes standard with a taller mount?  Also, is the Razor compatible with any other mounts on the market?  And when in spring do you expect these to be out?  Thanks.

The Razor red dot will be sold including a low picatinny mount only but, depending on what you plan to mount it on, we will offer a bunch of different mounts to be sold separately: a higher mount to co-witness, dovetail mounts for various handgun types, a weaver mount, etc. As for an ETA, we are still uncertain at this time. Thank you for your interest and curiosity.

I'd really like to see an integral 10/22 mount for this....so it doesn't need to be mounted up on a Picatinny rail.....

There will be an adapter piece that will be sold separately of the Razor red dot so if you should ever want to mount this to your 10/22, just buy the adapter piece and it should fit nicely on the standard Weaver T-09 rail. I think that would be a pretty nice sight for the 10/22, though. Thank you for your interest and please let me know if you have any other questions.

Had a look at the Razor Red Dot at the Vortex Showroom last week.  Nicely done!  I'll definitely be getting one!

Picked mine up earlier this week (3MOA).  Looks like a winner.  It's at the gunsmith's beIng mounted on a Glock 34.  We'll see how it does.  If the dot is too small for me on a handgun, which I don't think will be the case, then I have a 45 degree mount on an SPR that needs filling and I'll go with the 6MOA model for the pistol.  Of course if it works as well as it looks like it will then the SPR will get one anyway!

Does changing the battery require removal/re-zeroing?

No it doesn't, there is a tray that pops out on the side, quite cool.

I picked one up and have been very impressed.
