i ordered my second strikefire yesterday from B&H photo in NYC, and i got it this morning.

to my surprise, it looks like the latest model, complete with the longer threads on the magnifier!

my first strikefire is the one mounted on the larue LT-129 mount, my second will use its low mount for either my CX4 storm or ps90, not sure yet.

I have 4 of them and have been happy with them.   I have not even unwrapped the magnifiers.

Oh my, I've been looking for a co-witness setup for my CX4 for a while - looks like Vortex just sold another optic!

Does the LaRue mount give you co-wittness with BUIS?  I am looking for some one who has found a mount that will co-wittness with the Vortex. Thanks

yes the larue mount co-wit's with the irons. its also guaranteed to hold zero when you remove it from the gun and replace it later.

I just purchased the Strikefire for my CX4 as well and mounted it last week, but the mount can slide forwards and backwards on the rail, and it is possible to have one side pushed forward of the other.  This happens when I go to turn the scope on or adjust the brightness.  It is "tight", but pushing the buttons provides enough force to slide it around.  I have the knob turned as tight as I can get it by hand, and I'm afraid to use a wrench on it.  Have any recommendations on what I can do to make it not slide forwards and backwards?

Thanks!

Yes, definitely use a wrench on it. We recommend 20in-lbs.
