Oh man, I wish I would have seen this thread before I ordered last week. I thought in stock meant they had them...
I know they still might have some of the complete lowers in stock (5.56). Lord knows I had to grab one of those up myself. They might be left over from the Xmas special, but rifles in stock??? Lol Well I guess you can look at it this way your gonna have to wait so you might as well get in line so you don’t have to wait longer than you would if you don’t place it
Has anyone ever received an OBR? Haha, seriously though, I wonder if we can figure out when the last OBR, tOBR left the station and what that order date was. Earliest order date was August in this thread I think. Anyone earlier?
I am wanting to order another 762 OBR soon, so I am looking at a fall delivery according to what I am reading here
Well I have an order for a PredatOBR 7.62 16” that I placed on July 21 and I was told 1-3 months but here it is going on 6 and a half months. I haven’t heard of a single complete rifle being shipped it’s all of these UU. Those it seems are getting shipped in a month or two after an order is placed.

I would assume the lowers and several of the upper parts they use are all the same, so not sure why it is taking this long when UU kits are flying out the door. |
Well another pallet of UU go out today and no complete rifles! Wtf!
Honestly, I am tempted to just go with SCARs at this point. They make a 16” 5.56 rifle and a 20” 7.62 rifle. I can find the 7.62, right now, and I can probably find the 5.56 before my rifles ship.

I am OK with waiting. It would be nice to hear from the Larue team in their own forum an update on the wait times.

Ordered my16.1 Inch PredatOBR 7.62 on 10/13 and obviously I haven’t heard anything. In 2016 I waited for the same weapon in 5.56 and waited 3 months. I guess it’s a different time now! Maybe it’s just more effective and efficient to produce and sell the UU kits instead of rifles? Either way, this is what I want so I’m not going to settle somewhere else.

Who else thinks we’re fucked before we get our rifles ?? the 1-3 months I was told is now been 7 months working on month number 8. A straight answer would be nice or let us know how far down the line we are.

I’ve been looking around for a good AR-10 but all I can find is a bunch of low end junk and what I’ve been reading about scars there’s no way I’d purchase one of those.
Well I’m glad you was able to get something brother ???? |

View Quote Oh, I wasn’t just singling out LaRue for back orders, but when people basically get built guns (lowers, parts, uppers, etc.) and it doesn’t seem like the have even built a complete gun since at least June, a little communication would’ve been nice. |
It is unfortunate that people are experiencing delays getting rifles. I have ordered some of the Larue MBT-2 triggers, and the first time, Larue told me that the wait would be some weeks out. I wasn't in a hurry so I didn't worry about it, but was surprised when the trigger arrived in 2 weeks. The second time I was told the delay would be 3-4 weeks and the trigger arrived in 10 days..
I really don't have any complaint with Larue shipping, but I haven't ordered a complete rifle from them....yet. I sure would like to try one of their barrels for my next build. |
Now their parts don’t take nearly as long as rifles. I think the longest I waited on a mount was 1 month or so, but the rifle wait times are a little insane. As soon as anyone on here gets the notification please let the rest of us know. 7/20 and waiting
Well my wait time is over. I purchased a PredatOBR 7.62 18” off of gunbroker for $500 less and I’ll get it this weekend. Supposedly never fired and it looks that clean. The deciding factor was that someone was asking about a rifle they purchased back in JUNE 2020 on Instagram if it was going to be shipped soon! So I tapped out and canceled my order with Larue. I hope the rest of you guys have better luck and get your shipments soon! Fight the good fight people.

Mark posted a picture of compete PredatARs being worked on. Had a short convo with him, he mentioned LaRue has to shoot and test the complete rifles whereas they don't for the UU kits, hence the delay and longer times for complete rifles. The good news tho, if you ordered a PredatAR, it should be fulfilled somewhat soon. I ordered mine 01/06/21, probably will miss this batch of tARs, whelp, time to watch paint dry.

Yup, that's what I was referring to. Those are definitely Ultimate Uppers, maybe he just meant PredatAR barrels in the UU kits. Or maybe I'm just restless

It was 7 months after my orders that I finally canceled and bought something else. |

I haven’t put in any money on the OBR so when I get the call it will be a nice surprise. I was in the same boat. When I ordered my PredatOBR 7.62 I was told 1-3 months....... at almost 8 months I found the exact rifle online for $500 less I was fortunate enough that no one bid against me. So I cancelled my order for the complete rifle. The really fucked up thing was I had an extra Larue lower so I ordered a 12” UU kit on 3/08 and they shipped it on 3/10....... two fucking days, now don’t get me wrong I’m happy as fuck but kinda pissed at the same time

I ordered a UU Kit in 7.62 on 8/24/20. Next week will be 7 months. I ordered a lower right around the same time. I had the lower within 2 weeks, so at the time I had high hopes for the upper kit. Now 7 months later I am still practicing being patient.
In the mean time I have built an Aero Precision complete rifle and have the parts, or they are I’m mail, for AP number 2. I have placed a few other orders with LaRue for MBT triggers and grips. I do like their grip. The trigger will go in my second AP build when the lower/upper/handguard come back from the gunsmith cerakoted. I am excited to try the trigger out. The parts I have ordered where all back ordered but shipped in a month to six weeks. Just waiting on my upper now... |

Haha I ordered an APEG grip from LaRue this morning to prepare for AP EPC build once they release the 10mm receiver. It shipped with in a hour. If only rifles/uppers would ship like that!

20” barrel. I will contact customer service....again.... when I reach the actual 7 month mark to make sure it hasn’t been overlooked. I’ve been sitting on the money to pay for it since I ordered it. It is a miracle that life hasn’t thrown something at me that will require me to spend that money. I suppose there is still time...

That’s nice that people are getting their AR15s quickly. I guess they have no love for AR10/LR308 crowd. At this point I keep telling myself any day now it will ship. Of course, I’ve been saying that since last November. Hopefully by the time the snow has melted and the mud has dried up I’ll tearing up my woods with a fancy new 308.I honestly wouldn’t be able to do much beyond admire it until then anyway. Well now that Biden wants to do his little dance and sign executive order after executive order, everyone's in panic mode. I have a LaRue complete lower that came in last week while I'm waiting for my other SURG kit to be made. I have that, and a complete PredatAR I ordered in 01/06/2021. I placed an order for a UU kit just incase we somehow get an AR ban, do y'all think I'd be safe? Since the receiver is the only part that's serialized and has to go through an FFL, I'm thinking it's be a good hedge against risk. Want to know yall's thoughts. Thanks.
