Who is in???!! Here

Just saw on FB.

In!

If there were an M-Lok option, I would buy one in every imaginable config. I know Mark says to cover the hand guard with rail picatinny pieces and loctite them, but not really what I want.

I got all excited when I saw the FB post. Then I went on and realized I had to order a barrel and polymer, and muzzle device and gas block. All of which I already have from LaRue.

Yeah... Looked pretty cool until I realized it's not an upper kit, it's an entire rifle kit.

LT, why the selection choice if there's only one choice and you can't decline that part. "Hey cool! $500 upper" turned into "eh, another $900 upper with parts I wouldn't want"

If you want to build a full gun, it's still a pretty good setup. But to have another upper it's less appealing.

Meh...  I have spare MBT's, I have spare barrels, I have spare handgaurds, stocks, grips, etc. and still looking at pulling the trigger on this deal.  If you keep on amassing spare parts, one day you'll walk into your gun room and there will be a spare complete rifle sitting there all ready for you to go shoot

"Give is an inch, we'll want a mile".

I completely agree however. I was a little surprised to see the drop downs weren't optional

Im in if they are still on sale on the 10th of next month.
Already spent my gun funds for this month and gotta wait for the card to cycle now.

I am one of those guys that said take my money and just ordered the Grendel. Plan to pop it onto my tAR lower! Thanks Mark! If you keep the deal live for a month, I will probably be in for a 300BLK. Just bought my wife a Benelli Supersport and Bowtech bow and all the goodies so this pushes my toy budget for the month...

BTW, Anyone know for sure if the 300BLK barrels are pistol length gas?

Regarding grumbling about having to buy polymer, etc. I get it, as I said I am putting this on my tAR lower so no need for the trigger or polymer but look at the price of the barrel! An Anderson Grendel upper would be 100 more than I paid for this!

It's a great deal and you can get it cerakoted as well.

I've got Larue barrels, hand guards, etc etc but this was too good of a deal to pass up.  I bought 2 FDE kits unassembled.

Hesitate and whine = lose.

I'll buy the bcg, upper receiver, 10.5" rail, 12" stealth barrel and nut with wrench from you for $400. If you want to throw in the gas block and gas tube for another hundred you've got a deal.
Agreed this is a smoking hot deal but I run a surefire suppressor and have absolutely no need for any lower parts.

This is what I'm going to built one of mine on.

Not a big fan of proprietary parts in an AR but the proprietary parts (Lower receiver) are not critical or could be 'rigged' easily should they fail and repair necessary.

I am however a big fan of the ambi arrangements and that the receiver has an upper/lower receiver tension screw hole and supplied screw for a tight fit.

I am a Larue Armorer so I purchased it unbuilt.  I am curious about the tightness of the barrel/upper fit as I have heard it could be really tight.

They are pistol length.  I had ordered a carbine tube and found out it was too long.

Is the brake long enough to make a 14.5" bbl legal 16" length?  If a 14.5" bbl upper kit is purchased, will LaRue pin and weld the brake to the bbl if the option to assemble is chosen?
9/3/2017 1:10:08 AM EDT
[#15]
Not sure, probably will though.

The brake is pre-drilled for a pin and the only logical reason for pre drilling the pin hole would be to pin/weld a 14.5 barrel to >16".

ADCO did mine as well as the gas block pinning and upper assembly (didn't have the wrench).

yes they will. if you read the "big" thread you will see that LT contacted people who bought the 14.5" barrel asking if they needed to PW the muzzle adapter

They pinned and welded my 14.5 300 blackout. Whoever did it had done it a few times. It looked great.
