So around February of this year I spoke with Larue about the Siete and they informed me that they are taking a different route, towards a wooden hunting rifle chambered in the NATO cartridges as well as a 6.5 Creed, and they expected to release the information around this fall, then the NFA suppressor market rose up due to the ATF and Larue put the rifle on the back burner due to suppressor demand.
Like a little kid I called larue up every other week as for updates and they never gave any information or had no knowledge of the hunting rifle.... until 3 weeks ago they said that they may roll it out at or just before shot show. Larue anticipates the rifle to be a .260 Remington. Which makes it interesting that the Predatobr is available in a .260 now.... From my conversations with Larue it appears that only Mark and one other Larue employee have access to the R&D room at Larue. I find it very odd that Larue would introduce this rifle in a .260 as opposed to the .308 or 6.5 or .300 WM. It does sound like the rifle will be a fine wooden gun with a medium to heavy contour barrel. |

I really like the idea... with an included/optional JD Crow Sad Co sling. |

This confirms my suspicion. I am stoked! Can't wait to see it in person! |

I remember in another older thread that Mark said it will be a "sleeper" rifle, a nice wood rifle capable of sub MOA. I believe he used the term "Elmer Fudd gun" at some point, lol. |
