So I want to set the record straight that I am in no way complaining, just trying to understand the back order system. I ordered a surefire pro comp and a gas block at the same time. The gas block has been delivered, but the comp is showing as back ordered. I thought that I remembered back orders showing an estimated wait when viewing order history, but either I am mistaken or I can't seem to find where it is listed. Anyone care to explain their experiences with back orders? Any idea how long the wait time might be on the surefire? Of course it is the last part I am waiting for to compete my build.
Thanks all!

I've never seen an estimated arrival on LT's site that I recall.

I must have been mistaken, and now that I do a little web searching, seems as though most major suppliers are back ordered on the pro comp as well. Seems as though surefire needs to get after it.

When I ordered, I got an email saying they were on a 1 to 3 week backorder..... The muzzle break is all I need to finish off the conversion of a nice AR to a featureless rifle...... Stinking socialists!!!!!!

I ordered a Surefire Warden FDE from surefire back in March and it's still on back order, not sure it's the same thing but maybe it's surefire across the board, I'm just saying!!??

A lot of people in California, and a couple of other states are having to change muzzle devices in order to stay legal. That's why I have a muzzle break on backorder. It's not just surefire either. I ordered a different brand through Brownell's and it was on backorder for three weeks before I cancelled it and ordered a surefire from LaRue (where I should have ordered to begin with!)....

I've had a SFMB556 on order from LT since June 6, 2016.  It appears that most Surefire muzzle devices are out of stock across the globe...

I'm just going to order a couple of crush washers and swap the one off my registered assault weapon onto the other weapon. It doesn't matter what I have on the one....

Yep my local go to shop is out and have been out for a while, they said they have been waiting for them for some time.  All the usual online shops seem to be out as well.  I found one SF3P locally at a shop I really don't like to use, and paid too much, but at least I have one.  Picked up another in the EE.  Not sure why Surefire is so behind - I get 41F and all but wouldn't think the outage would be so widespread.  Still want to pick up an SFMB at some point.
