I have questions about this particular mount.  Is the centerline of the mount co-witness with iron sights?  I saw the picture on the website that says this mount's centerline above the rail is 1.44 inches, compared to other SPR mounts that is 1.5 inches above the rail.  I assume the other mounts are 1/3 co-witness.  I have been looking at many pictures online and am afraid that the SPR-S mount looks a little low.  I won't know until I buy try one out.

The SPR-S is a mount for a telescopic sight (scope).  Since the scope is magnified, you do not and cannot co-witness through a scope.

It also has 10 minutes of down angle to allow for shooting at longer ranges. So it is set up for very long range shooting.

If you are looking for a scope mount, you should go with the 1.5 inch models.  Unless you plan of shooting 800 yards or more, the SPR-S with the 10 MOA built in is not a good choice for "regular" AR ranges.

Thanks.  I guess I'll go with the 1.5 inch mounts.  The reason why I asked about the co-witness is because I have red dots that sit at that eye level and feel comfortable with my cheek weld position.  I was hoping to re-create the same with the magnified optic mount.
