Cleaning my OBR before going shooting this weekend, and it seems I have a broken extractor spring. Are there any options, or is this rifle just out of commission for this trip. 
I was really looking forward to airing this thing out.

I was really looking forward to airing this thing out. Call the motherland aka Larue Headquarters! Will do. I will grab a couple of them as backups, I was hoping that maybe another spring might fit. I wonder if the spring is the same as the one in an 5.56 AR bolt? |

Update.
Called the shop the next morning and discussed my issue with them. They took down my info and offers to overnight it to me but as I was leaving town that afternoon we decided that ground would be just fine. Came home from work Monday to a LaRue box on the porch. Inside was a new extractor, spring and pin. Along with a jar of DD and a UDE hat. Amazing customer service as always. This is one of many reasons that if LaRue is an option it is the answer. Thanks again to all the fine folks that make up the LaRue team.

Fine, I purchased a trigger upgrade from Galloway Precision which solved my complaint with the gun for $100 and installed myself. I'll not step foot in his store again. I have 2 rifles, a shotgun, and a handgun in my budget for this year. Knowing his markup, he would have made more money working with me than blowing me off and sending me away mad. Not to mention that anytime I hear someone talking about doing business with him I guide them to LaRue, or another LGS a little further down the road, (that uses the same distributor). Oh, and I am a return customer for this guy and have always been polite and friendly while in his establishment. |
