Well....my illusions are shattered I have discovered the first quality control problem at LT. I received my 2nd tOBR (5.56mm) about 6 weeks ago. The snow finally has left the New England area and the rifle range was up and running. I finally took it out to zero and shoot some rounds. In so doing, I put on my new tOBR owners hat and went on my way to the range. As the day went on, I was annoyed by this discomfort on my head and couldn't pin it down until I got home. I discovered this... The cap on the left is my new hat and the one on the right is the hat from my tOBR 7.62. The new hat has velcro applied to the straps incorrectly. The left strap should have the velcro on the inside portion versus the outside portion. This condition requires the left strap to be twisted so the straps can attach to each other thus causing a discomfort when worn. My world will never be the same... BTW, The rifle was awesome despite this issue. |

Totally, flex fit is a far better choice and honestly the LaRue hats are the ONLY adjustable I wear!! Quoted:

Quoted: You might check the right hand piece if you haven't already. I had one that was twisted inside the hat and it looked the same. I have...trust me as it was a mission after I found it. Both pieces are sewn in. Trying to get my wife to unstitch and sew it properly but I don't want to violate the warranty |

Or contract with Tactical Tailor to manufacture their caps if they wish to keep the adjustable sizing. I like flex fit but if I have to wear an adjustable one I like the nylon strap with Fastex buckle. |
