Quick question on storing my new Stealth upper.

I ordered this upper and had to wait a good deal of time for it to arrive.  Not complaining and very happy to get it.  Not too long after I received it, I saw that someone here (I think his name was Mark) created a post talking about how he may be making Stealth lowers available soon.  Well, that cinched it for me and I decided then that I would hold off with mounting this upper on anything else and wait until Stealth lowers came back into play.

Now it appears that the availability of lowers may be a long way out and my new upper has been in my safe, sitting upright in its factory box since it arrived.

Is there something specific I need to do to this upper to keep it safe for long term storage?  I feel like a newb asking a question like this but I generally use my toys a lot and concerns about long term storage haven't really been an issue until now.

Thanks!

you have more willpower than I do. I'd pick up an el-cheapo lower somewhere and shoot that thing!

sorry - I have no advice for long term storage. I'd think it should be okay in there for some time but I was wrong one time before.

It must be hung at an angle of EXACTLY 87-degrees.  No more, no less.  Any other inclination will void all warranties.  There is no truth in this post.

ETA:  Seriously, I'm not sure if serious.  Are you concerned about rust?

Not necessarily concerned about rust in my indoor safe.  The upper appears to be fairly well lubed.  Just curious if there were any other safeguards that I may need to take.

Your post made me laugh out loud, by the way.

Of course we all know what the best solution would be.....A new Stealth lower.

Waiting on a lower myself. Until they become available again, I have my Stealth on an older lower. I'm not gonna let my lack of a LaRue lower stop me from shooting the heck out of it.

Lube it and order an LMT MWS SOPMOD 2 stage trigger lower. It will serve you well while you wait for an LT.

It will be ok leaving it but you have to go try it out. It won't hurt it to attach it to an in spec lower. I have a Stealth upper I shoot on a Palmetto lower.

And Chive on.
