Who the heck is this guy?  Post in his forum, piss him off, and he responds, then quickly locks the thread, because it doesn't go his way?  Really?   Man, the disrespect that flies on Arfcom.  Unreal.   I guess there is a big difference in the guys that are paid to shoot, and those that are paid to shoot bad people.  Wow.

Stag aint got shit on Larue! Predatobr with 18 inch barrel plus a comp would make a great 3gun rifle! Yes, I understand my grammar usage or lack of!

All I will say is that taking a dump on someone else doesn't make you smell or look any better.
Especially, when trying to mar the rep of someone like Mark.

He's known for starting drama with vendors on the Enos forums. I find it ionic though that a stag shooter says a rifle isn't fit for 3-gun when the one he shoots is a Lego build that stag offers using other vendors parts.

opinions are just that though, I wouldn't get worked up over it. I'd bet most of the mounts were prize table items anyways and not purchased directly

Asking Mark to know what rifle that guy shoots without looking it up is like asking the owner of Goodyear to know what kind of fuel pump Kevin Harvick uses in his race car.

He'll, Mark is ready to send him a letter and hot towel after verifying the mount claim.

He came in there shillin', when he should'a been chillin'.

All rhymes aside, I got some emails, the gist being it's known he could use some class classes.

No worries, water under the bridge.

After the College Station dust settled, the 3-Gun calls started going to a different LaRue desk.

One nice fellow called in to make sure we were still sponsoring their annual match again ... and would we be sending 10 complete Stealth uppers for the prize table like we did the year before ?

Since we already had seen some oddities by then, my guy did a little vetting on this match.

" Sir, how many custom engraved dillos will you guys be needing, a couple to three hundred ?"

" Oh no, twenty should do, we had eighteen shooters last year."

I may have my numbers barely off, but you get the gist of it.

Okay, check my beer math -

At the match you won one at, I sent $10,000.00 worth of Stealth uppers 8 x $1,200 = $9,600 + freight.

I don't remember what match entry fees are, but say they were $100 ... $100 x 100 shooters = $10,000 ... so, by proxy, I covered every shooters entry fee for that particular match.

Meh, what can I say, I'm a nice guy.

Mark,
At the 2009 and 2010 matches, you paid my entry fees.  It wasn't by proxy, I was one of the Ft Hood WTU Soldiers that ya'll invited to come shoot.  I haven't forgotten, neither have the other two folks that were there.  I still use the stuff from the prize table on a regular basis.

I'm the guy who started that thread, I was excited to order my rifle and I wanted honest feedback on optics for it (Predatobr 5.56 with 16' barrel) that people may be using at 3 gun matches. I didn't know people would start to drink hatorade(a term I've used as a Soldier for years). Hell I know there are more 'popular rifles' for 3 guns... Who cares? When I take out my Larue, whether at a match or at the range, I'll be proud as hell to own it. You can believe it will be one of the best cared for AND used ]rifles anywhere once I get my hands on that beauty!!! Which can be said about all my guns, to my wife's amusement and sometime lament, lol.
I didn't even know the thread had generated such negative feedback UNTIL I checked tonight here on the Larue forum. I noticed the post about that Jesse T and wondered what it was about. Needless to say, I was surprised to see the attacks on Larue. Mr Mark, I'm sorry about that. Please believe that it was an honest request for feedback from 3 gunners that own Larue rifles, not a thread meant to start up people talking like that about your company.
If the weapon is half as good as the customer service I've received (I've had several of your employees quickly and patiently answer several emails both BEFORE and after I ordered the weapon), then I know I'm going to get my money's worth. Unfortunately, as someone who buys quite a few weapons and accoutrements for them, that's not always the case. Thank you for the great customer service (please thank your people for me, not that it probably matters to them, lol). Looking forward to getting the weapon!

You will never regret buying a LaRue rifle, get used to the envy from lots of folks. I get it from time to time for the silliest of instances. As for the customer service, "if you ain't happy, they ain't happy" is all that can be said.

Welcome to Arfcom!

I'm kind of a black sheep in that my KAC has a lot of Larue on it, but don't yet have nor even experienced firing a Larue.  I tell you this; there was nothing wrong with your inquiry, just the reaction from it.  You were inquiring about optics IIRC and it came to a fug'n lock.  Weird to say the least.

I would encourage you to begin a thread here.  The answers will be much more in depth, thoughtful and pretty certain that the man himself might be able to weigh in with a suggestion.

Instead of an "ETA" I'll inquire here, you mentioned recovering from a surgery... What's up with that? I can honestly say that surgeries is why it's been a long spell since I've done any 3 gun or IPSC. Hope you're on the mend. Maybe there should be a "cripple" category so we can keep the competition on a level playing field!

For the three guys that posted after me, thanks for some POSITIVE feedback, lol. I'm-A-WMD: healing up from a couple knee surgeries. All the running and years of carrying too much crap in the field has given me some knee issues. I'm well on the road to recovery, fortunately, and I've enjoyed the USPSA pistol matches so much that I'm taking the plunge into 3 gun and whatever other great shooting events I can get to. I know a lot about the pistol manufactorers(I own my fair share!) but I've never owned an AR. I know my way around an M4 (I'm a 14 years veteran infantryman) and I know shooting, but I've never bought one because rifle work is something we do so much of! Pistols, rarely, so naturally I gravitated to pistol shooting when not at work. Now that I'm in a staff job, I miss the rifle shooting that we do so much of, so when I  learned about 3 gun, i studied up and couldn't believe how many people build ARs! I knew it was a lot, but the numbers are staggering. I figure for my first AR, I want a rifle thats very accurate and made by a company with a rep I can depend on:
Then I learned about  Larue, did my homework... and now I've got one on order for the last month. Enough said!
