| When I ordered my T2, I went with the HK660 mount. What I thought I read was that the mount provides 1/3 cowitness for hk sights. When I finally bought them, I noticed it was absolute. Went back to reread and noticed it was for hk height rails. Before I decide to purchase the tall mount, how important to your is absolute vs 1/3 cowitness? What about using sights with the dot on? |

It's all about personal preference, IMO. I prefer to use absolute CW. That way, I know that out of the box, I can mount it, adjust the reticle to match, and then leave the irons down after I fire a couple rounds to confirm... YMMV |

The lower 1/3 cowitness is used by folks that prefer to keep their head higher. What about using sights with the dot on? A lot of Tier One types swear by this method. Red Dot on and with absolute cowitness iron sights make it easy to hit the target quickly. And as described above, if your irons are zeroed, you can put the red dot on top of your front sight post to speed up the zeroing process. |
