I am waiting on a 16" 5.56 tOBR.

I like the idea of the tool box and roll up case. I doubt I will break the rifle down often but it is still cool that you can.
I will probably buy the tool box & case with my gift card. I am also looking into backpacks or briefcases that the rolled up kit would fit into.

So to anyone who has their tOBR (16") here is my Question?

What are the lengths of the separate assemblies?

From what I can tell, there are only like 5 people that actually have a 16 tOBR and I'm not sure how many of them post here.

Maybe next year

If no one responds I can go home and take her apart and get measurements for you. The longest part is the barrel if that helps at all, mine is a little bit longer then stock because I put on a Lantac Dragon.

If you have a 7.62, unless it is a 14.5" model I don't think it would fit in a brief case..... Backpack might work. I think I will make measurements (estimates) from my assembled 16" TOBR and see if it would fit in my 3 day pack... Obviously, it will still need to be in the rollup canvas that came with the tool box... I guess I should just measure the rollup canvas.....

I can't remember who mentioned it in one of the other threads, but I am going to use my 14.5" tOBR rifles in my Arc'teryx Khard pack:  Arc'teryx Khard 30

Should be perfect.  I am also going to get a custom roll made, not unlike the one that LT makes, except it will be slightly padded.

Nice choice of Arc'teryx. I measured my 16" barrel last night at 17" with the Lantac Dragon on it. I am going to look into these too, there is a shop in Seattle that carries a lot of 5.11 gear and going to see how they are made. Kinda liking this..... http://www.511tactical.com/rush-24-backpack.html   I need to take a closer look at this though, I have an Arc'Teryx for backpacking only, it is humongous. I used it to pack in Denali for a month...too big to be lugging around like a daily bag.

Well my Khard is Multicam, so not exactly a "gray man" bag.  I have a TAD Litespeed that I use for an everyday bag, going to see how the 556 14.5" works in it too.

I LOVE TAD gear. My buddy was involved with the starting up of that company. He gets free crap all the time..so jealous.

I have my 14.5" 762 tOBR inside the roll up case, inside of a backpack. I got a plain looking, cheap, backpack made by voodoo. I know they're quality is quality isn't tier 1, but it's discreet nonetheless. The bag holds the bag, 6 mags, a med kit, bipod, and anything else I think might be required any given day. I can't remember exactly which model of bag I have, but it's their discreet line. Plenty of molle loops, all located inside the bag, and no other tell tale signs on the outside.

Thanks that helps, mine will be wearing a AAC 51T comp/mount for my SDN-6. I have a cool Hazard4 Briefcase that would be quite a surprise 'smuggling' the tOBR.
If it won't work plenty of back packs would.

I saw that the Larue roll has a 20" measurement but your measurement tells me the true hardware spec. Thanks.

Any of you guys seen or had any experience with these?

I'm very curious as they seem to have some functional designs.

Sneaky bags are top notch. As were all others mentioned. I was given a NIB Maxpedition Sitka I hope will work.

It'll slip in and out of the office undetected in my Saddleback Leather classic briefcase.

My 16" PredatOBR fits perfectly in my Maxpedition Vulture backpack in the roll up case.

I think the roll up thing with a nice smaller backpack would be sweet.

I easily fit my 8" SBR in a small Drago Tracker backpack.  Broken down of course but gun and 4 mags fit nicely. I bet a tOBR would fit as well. It was only $40 or so and of decent quality

I had a SneakyBag CRB for a bit, but it was too big for me. Easily held two 16" rifles, but I struggled to find room for mags.
Wound up with a LaRue Covert Rifle Case and couldn't be happier. Plenty of room for the rifle, mags, and other stuff if need be.

I think I will go with this one. Not the most discreet, but not covered in molle either.
Not what you would expect a scoped & suppressed precision rifle to be in.

This bag looks amazing.  Looks like to get a tOBR to fit, you'd need to keep the barrel on and just separate the upper/lower though?  Also curious how much stuff actually fits in that bag once the rifle insert is in there.  Not clear if all of those pouches on the outside or the hidden pistol etc would fit in the front all at once...

If it does, I'm gonna get one for the 14.5" 5.56 when it shows
