any issue with mounting a larue sling attach point to the forward side rail on the OBR. Generally, i think the further back the sling is the better off the rail will be.
any thoughts on this |
| thats where mine is. its about the only way to mount one unless you put it at the 6 o clock position on the handguard. no issues for me, but i do wish i had the option to move it back further. if the .308 OBR had the same handguard rail options as a 5.56, that would be pretty neat. |

I used their padded sling coupled with a VTac mounting point a member here sent me for free when I had the same question a year ago.
It is mounted to my top rail near the front of my scope and puts a QD swivel near the center of the gun. Works 10x better than the front rail position did. |

This is how mine is set up but, I used an IWC QD Sling attachment to mount on the top rail. |
