I was doing some shooting tonight at work and I found a way to make cheap reactive targets aka bowling pins! My teammates really enjoyed the challenge. I screwed an eyebolt into the top of the pin and hung them across the target stand with a rope. Depending where the bullet hit the pin it would bounce differently. One surprising thing I saw was how tough a bowling pin was and we were shooting 40 cal and 75 grain .223. Try shooting a bowling pin at 30 yards with a service grade pistol and see how many hits you get!

I am going to Pat McNamara 2-Day TAPS Class and I will do a review of the course. Mac is former SF Sgt. Major who ran their training dept.  for SF and I'm excited to learn some new tactics from a proven warrior to say the least! Good Shooting!!! Note my work is paying for the training!

I like shooting at bowling pins they can be fun and offer a good reactive target, but remember not to shoot them with a shotgun using bird shot type loads. The BB's like ricochet back at you and still hurt like none other.
