I know I can find this information if I want to scour the history of this sub-forum, but perhaps this thread can be a sticky so it is always readily available......

Question 1: What ammunition seems to work best, with the fewest FTF or FTE's in an OBR/PTAR/POBR (not that any POBR's exist in the general public yet!) What I currently have waiting in the wings for my backordered POBR is:

Winchester NATO: 147 gr ball
PM NATO 147 gr ball
Federal M-1A 168gr HPBT and
Lake City M118LR 175gr HPBT

Question #2: Are these loads going to function reliably in my POBR without any modifications to the weapon? As in no spring changes to run the various loads. Feel free to list your most accurate "factory" loads as well.

I have never had a failure with any ammo I have tried in my predatAR. NONE. However, I do have a JP rifle spring and LMOS rifle buffer

This includes:
XM193/M193
M855
Hornady tap, target, steel cased training
Monarch brass and steel

Was there a noticeable difference after installing that spring and buffer?

My backordered rifle is a 7.62..... I already had a couple 5.56 black rifles (well OD, and FDE anyway) so I ordered the larger caliber to go along with my M-1A. The Colt feeds anything, the CMMG feeds anything with a brass case, but not steel cased Wolf. The Bushy is a 6.8 and has only been fed a diet of Remington and it loves it.... I've seen posts on this site where folks had issues with a particular ammo when their 7.62 rifle was brand new..... I was just trying to get a list together on what works well, and what needs a spring change.... I don't remember hearing any 5.56 guns having any issues whatsoever.....

Never shot it without it so I am not sure. I went with this set up since I am waiting on a Nordic 18in rifle gas barrel and a JP LMOS carrier

functionally, you shouldnt have any issues with any of that ammo.  i think for precision work, you will have the best luck with the 175 match grade stuff.

i use FGM .308 with the Sierra Match King 175 gr bullet, and have no reason to try anything else-  one little hole at 100.

the rifle will shoot better than you do when it comes in!

mine is an 18" OBR- one of the first ones with XTRAN

Some People have had problems running weak ass .223 loads in their 5.56 Rifles with the heavier spring in it......

That's why LT started shipping them with a light and heavier spring.........
