How about that letter includes something about removing some of the 20,000 gun laws on the books, instead of suggesting they enforce those more.
I've written several, and will write several more. I'm not just going to hop on someone else's letter that doesn't say what I think it should. Just encouraging thought before action. |

I took my time, and wrote a very eloquent stance against new gun laws. They emailed me back a form letter about how they care about the "Newtown tragedy," which I never even talked about in my letters. So while I agree with you in theory, they just lump all gun control letters in with Newtown at the moment, and it's more important that they get a VOLUME of email and letters rather than specific, well-written ones. |

Totally agree. I've written all of my federal, state and local reps with individual emails and only received 1 personalized response, 2 form letter responses and the rest didn't even get a response. They need VOLUME of emails. |

I undersatnd the wording may not be exactly what you are looking for. But they have made writing a letter to the Important politicians easy for everyone. Not everybody is going to type and print a letter, stuff it in an envelope, put a stamp on it, find the address for the specific official and actually take it to the mailbox. Dont get me wrong i wish everybody would do that, but this sure makes it easier to get the point for the mass majority of people and if more people end up doing this than actaully mailing it then in my opinion it will have been a success. |

I agree with all the responses to my post to a point. I was just sharing my choice of action, and wanting to encourage others to think. Any action is better then no action in this instance.
