my g/f has some flex spending money to use by the end of the year. We decided to get a LT first aid kit or two. The question I have is that they all seem to be able to patch up a leg amputation for the hospital but, not take care of basic things like minor cuts and scrapes.
It seems like all of them come with alcohol preps, tourniquet and the quick blood clotting packs, so which of the kits have basic things like band aides? Thanks. |

Think of them as more of a 1 time trauma kit, if you look at the features tab, it usually lists the entire contents. Thank you for the info. When someone says first aid kit I think of antibacterial pads, band aids, gauze...that type of stuff. I had not thought about it being a 1 time use kit. The part that has me a bit confused is this. "Among other things, the kit is complete with:" I am curious what the "other things" are in the kit. |

The first aid kit I purchased a while back had the following :
Re-Sealable Poly Bag Celox (15g, small) CavArms Tourniquet Emergency Bandage (Israeli Bandage) 4" 4.5" x 4.1 yards Kerlix Gauze Nitrile Gloves 2 Alcohol Preps 1" x 10 yards Hypoallergenic Tape Did not include anything else. |

thanks......
so, can anyone tell me if any of the kits come with the basic first aid items? Miscommunication on my part. I didn't see this was the Larue Tactical forum - was clicking tabs off the "Active topics" tab. So I saw "LT" and didn't know wtf you were trying to refer to. Though I'm baffled why you'd think a tactical kit would need bandaids. |

The kit will be going in my car and my g/f's car. It will be needed from car accidents and range issues to a simple cut finger while doing car repairs. I was looking for a all purpose kit. |

It's a good kit, just add in the boo boo stuff like the single use packs of meds/band-aids/burn jel/ swabs/couple 4x4's/2x2's/ triple AB and a small syringe for eye/ wound irrigation. It'll all fit in the bag too.
Now it'll be a decent boo boo / IFAK for general use. If you got kids or around them -buy quantity from a place like THIS as refills. Hope this helps! Happy New Year LT and all the LT Fans! I hope the new year brings us good news for our 2A! |
