My search fu is apparently very weak as I could find no topics on "OBR zero" in archives or current posts searches.
First off I have an 18" OBR heavy with the OBR scope mount and a 100 yard range at my disposal. I will be shooting 7.62 Federal Gold Medal Match 168 grain. Given these parameters, where do I want to have the bullet strike the target in relation to scope zero. to obtain bullet zero at what range? I guess I am somewhat confused because of the rail cant as to where the bullet should be impacting the target. i.e. how far above or below aim point at 100 yards for a 200,300 or further yard zero? Thanks for any and all help. |

I zero mine at 100, not an issue. The 20MOA can't just lets you use 20MOA more in your scope adjustment 200 yards should be a drop of about 2MOA and 300 and will be about 5MOA real muzzle velocity will dictate the real number. The scope cant has nothing to do with where you must zero the weapon.

| I have mine zeroed at 250. The max the bullet will hit above POA according to my ballistics computer is .83mils at 100 yds. I like this zero because if I ever have the need to shoot under 250 yds I can still aim center mass and get a hit, plus gives me a great starting point for longer range shots. |
