| Would it be possible to install a 9.0 handguard on a 14.7 inch barrel with mid-length gas, without completely removing the front sight base and pinned muzzle device? I understand that the FSB will get in the way, and the taper pins would have to be removed. I was trying to figure out if it could be done by sliding the FSB as far forward as possible, removing the gas tube, then installing all the parts in sequence including the rail. As far as installation of the gas tube, I figure the FSB could be rotated to the side, then moved back into place. Can it be done? |
