| Whats the kind of accuracy I can expect at 100 yards from a 14.5 predatOBR with a surefire muzzlebrake? Not including wind temp and other environmental factors. |
|
I don't think LaRue has mentioned anything official, so the below is just my thoughts:
As the PredatOBR has the same features as the OBR (same trigger, barrel, and Bolt carrier group) I would say it is safe to assume that it is sub MOA like the OBR. The only difference between the PredatOBR and the OBR is truly the handguard(from the PredatAR). The Surefire muzzle brake won't affect anything at 100 yds, but beyond 100 I will defer to the ballistics experts to weigh in. |

Quoted: Well if you look at the test targets from LT posted on here, some are better than others. You could put the rifles in a machine rest and some will shoot tighter groups, but I'd expect any Rifle that leaves LT to meet their spec. Quoted: Quoted: How accurate will be the luck of the draw. Some will be sub MOA and some will be sub-sub MOA. All will be good, some will be Lucky Good. YES.... but mostly depending on the shooter. This, and good ammo! |

This, and good ammo! I know the LT rifles meet Marks specifications, but do the buyers and ammo! I know of people that cannot hit a clay target at 100 yards from a benchrest..

.513 and .825 on two test targets from Predatars received. I wouldn't worry about the PredatOBRS AT ALL! Were they shot by the same person? If they were then, there's the luck of the draw on how well they shoot. The same rifle with the same shooter could easily shoot both larger and smaller than that. |
