I love my index clips, I have them on all my guns.   However, the only change I wish they had available was a more aggressive texture or stippling for a better grip with sweaty hands.

I know they are designed as index points, but enough people use them as rail covers now.   Is it possible for LaRue Tactical to make a version with aggressive texture on them for a non-slip grip?

I am willing to buy 8 cans worth to replace my other index clips if they had a rough texture to get a better grip when I am doing tactical classes and start sweating.

Gloves would help, but I would prefer to not wear them in the hot summers here in Georgia.

Anyone else like to see something like this?

Just pick up a soldering iron and go to work. They're cheap enough to make a few mistakes.

You could also get a small triangle file and do your own checkering.

It does look really effective, I wonder if there is a faster way to do it. Like heat the plastic, then press them on rock salt. Kinda silly but it might work.

Or have LT mold um that way

Hmm. Custom wood burner tip. Could do much more in one "press", maybe.

Hmm.

I'm wondering if we could come up with a design, order one, split it up and ship it around the group?

Hmm.

http://www.woodburning.com/brandingirons.asp

(probably not exactly what they have here but you get the idea)

I made my own, it's just a brass screw with some cross hatch patterns filed into it.
